One day drive to the Amalfi Coast

Our cruise stop in Naples allowed us to drive the famed and romantic Amalfi Coast. We took off for Positano stopping in Sorrrento along the way. Dramatic cliffs, winding roads, nerve racking at times, and breathtaking views at every turn. On one side were pastel colored homes precarously perched on the cliff side and azure waters on the right. The Amalfi Drive hugs the edge of the Salerno Gulf and Tyrrhenian Sea

Positano is a beautiful picturesque seaside town in the Campania region of Italy. It is an ideal location on the Amalfi coast and famous for its colorful buildings and restaurants. Positano is about 75 minutes from Naples and can be reached via Ferry and bus. We drove through narrow winding roads to the village, then walked down the cliffside to the seaside. The views arriving to Positano are spectacular. The village shops had the cutest clothing and art galleries. Positano and the area is famous for Limoncello, you can see all things lemons, in the ceramics to candy. Meandering through bougainvillea shaded streets with village shops just make you smile. If you decide to overnight you can also visit Pompeii from here. We will definitely return to enjoy dinner and sunset on this beautiful Italian village.
