We rose early morning and flew out from Nairobi towards Killimanjaro airport Tanzania, to begin our Safari. Clear skies allowed us to view the magnificent Mount Killimanjaro and Mount Meru. Flying over lush green fields of Arusha and Killimanjaro reminded me of country life in India. Kilimanjaro airport was efficient and betat some airports in North America. Our driver picked us up to drive us to Arusha where we would join Issa, our guide who would drive us through dusty, bumpy roads and stay with us for 10 days. The private guide and driver was exactly what we planned and I would not have done it otherwise. After picking up one of many yummy boxed lunches we were off to Tarangire. Arriving at Tarangire Issa completed the formalities however we accidentally left a door open, big mistake!! One of the monkeys took off with Issa\u2019s sandwich! We had enough to share and happily shared our lunch.<\/p>\n

We finally arrived at our camp with singing and dancing. We were offered refreshments, briefed on our stay and were showed our tent. Our tent was facing the bush and it was a short walk away from the main tent. We needed to be escorted at night. The facility was absolutely fantastic. The staff went over and beyond. We were treated to a full meal every night, some items we tried included hibiscus juice, yam chips and green banana soup! Yummy! Sun downers by the fire pit under starry skies were magnificent!<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
